Tower Hamlets Council is trying to get a clearer picture of what
voluntary groups need in the way of premises - by commissioning a
survey gauging the needs of local charities and other voluntary
organisations.
The research has begun and will include two
telephone surveys – one with local groups and the other with
premises providers. There will also be a number of focus
groups and interviews to gain a greater understanding of local
needs.
The study – which forms a key plank of the borough’s
recently-launched Third Sector Strategy and will be carried out by
WM Enterprise (in partnership with Research and Marketing
Plus) between mid January and the end of February.
Following the research, recommendations will be made to improve
the availability, accessibility and appropriateness of premises for
third sector organisations.
